Hi,

I have a problem that tt++ crashes after some time of playtime (so far I have been unable to find exact cause of it). Sometimes it can happen twice in 5 minutes, sometimes it's running for hours and hours. Is there any debugging log or smth that could help me locate the exact problem?

Machine is x86_64 Ubuntu linux kernel 2.6.27.

Hiyas, you can enable logging and also enable: #debug all log

That should give a more detailed log file.

Hi again,

This is the line that causes segfault and crash:

#format temp {%w} {{%0}};

It is interesting because I made tests on three more machines, that have almost identical configuration. One more does similar action, two others work fine. Might this be a problem with zlib or pcre?

Should be unrelated to zlib or pcre.

I can't get it to crash on any of my machines.

Does it crash on every line, or specific lines?

There's a potential buffer overflow with very long strings (4000 characters or so) with a lot of color codes.

It crashes on any line that gets passed to it. The line that it gets usually is smth like that "[chat] Iga says: yada yada" with only word chat being color coded, so it's really nothing special. I updated my zlib and pcre on my machine will try to compile it again and see what happens.

I made a couple of changes to %w in the beta release, but I have no idea if that'll fix the crash issue. Feel free to give it a try.

Those scripts aren't updated to work with the 1.99.7 release yet. I'll try to update them first chance I get.
