Aside from pressing the up arrow to see commands, how about a #history command so we can see our past commands. and !#ID in order to repeat it easily...

I suppose this is a feature request. I used to have a .tt_history, but that seems to only get updated when I exit tt++

I'll look into it sometime, but it will probably have to wait until I add custom readline support.

You can use:
get ball
put ball back
!g
!p
!g
!p

to repeat stuff that is further back in memory.

Right, but that's the problem, I don't know what !g will repeat without being able to see the history. At the moment, I have to manually C-p until I find what I want. It'd be nice to just do #history and have it dump the commands you've entered. I would imagine it'd be pretty trivial, just push each command onto a queue as it's entered, and a command to dump out the queue. There's already a .tt_history that gets written when tt++ exits (unless that's a feature of readline?), so there must be some way to access it during run-time.

Using !get or even get b works as well.

You can sort of browse the history by pressing ctrl-r and it will reverse search for keywords you are entering. That might do the trick if you only vaguely know what you want to repeat.
