I just switched back to tintin after a couple year hiatus.

I am trying to load my previous maps, created in tintin 1.99.5, and I am getting intermittent bus errors, program crashes, and memory faults.

Is there some way for me to migrate my maps without starting over?

this simple map often crashes me when I try to go to the shop exit and return. Shop side looks similar. ldMap and uldMap are just #map read <filename> and #map destroy <filename>.
home
#MAP: Map destroyed.

I'm not sure where the problem is. If you find an easy way to reproduce the crash I can look into it.

Ok, I messed around with it some more. I can make the program crash every time, and it has nothing to do with the actual old maps.

If you use the #map exit command to load a new map, I get crashes on a semi-continual basis.

#map exit {2}{command}{s;#map read floobity.map}

It looks like it was related to the change where #map run is no longer required.

If this could be fixed you'd be my super hero. I liked stringing maps together to keep them separate from one another.

Thinking about it I'm not surprised that causes a crash.

One work around is as following:

Code:

#map exit {2}{command}{s;#delay 0 {#map read floobity.map;#map goto 1234}}

I'll of course see if I can fix it.
