when I run the program two windows open up. The normal wintin++ client window and then window that says c:\program files (x86)...terminal.exe anyway to get rid of that 2nd window? if I close that 2nd window, the wintin++ window closes Sad in the past i never had two windows open up like this.

Is this under Windows 7?

Version 2.00.6 uses mintty, version 2.00.5 uses cygterm, so if not running the latest version isn't an issue you could try 2.00.5.

Another work around is installing Cygwin and running TinTin++ inside Cygwin, this isn't advisable for people who aren't familiar with Linux.

If you don't use the keypad, 256 colors, and don't mind using #split 1 1 you could link the shortcut directly to tt++ and use the windows console, though there may be issues with doing so that I'm unaware of.

To change the shortcut to use the windows console you'd right click the shortcut, select properties, and replace the program call to:

"C:\Program Files\WinTin++\tt++.exe"

If v2.00.5 has no issues you can also copy the 2.00.6 tt++.exe over the 2.00.5 tt++.exe and keep using 2.00.5.

I do what you suggested with the shortcut, that window is all wonky... it doesn't function proper Sad backspace doesn't work right and neither does #split... I guess dealing with the two windows that big of an issue... on that note is there way to change the font
