I couldn't find anyway to search the map for roomdata. Is this intentional?

You could do something like this:

#loop {1} {20000} {loop}
{
    #map at {$loop}
    {
        #map get roomdata temp;

        #if {"$temp" != ""}
        {
            #showme {Room $loop has room data set: $temp}
        }
    }
}

Indeed, that works, just thought it would be logical to be able to search in the same manner as the other room flags. I suppose this is more of a feature request.

I was hoping to be able to use #map find {roomdata} {<pattern>} to return the shortest path. Wouldn't it be rather involved to do the #loop, store the matching room vnums, find paths to them all and compare each one for the shortest path?

It's not that I'm opposed to scripting stuff (you should see my settings), this just seems like a natural part of the #map find/list scope.
