Hey, I've got a couple of minor problems that have started only since I upgraded to the latest version. I'm running the Tintin++ 1.96.6 pre compiled binary on Max OSX Tiger 10.4.8. Here are the issues:

Problem A:
My first problem is that since I upgraded to the new version, every time I press the up arrow key to bring up the previous command. The blinker that indicates where I type stuff is before the text, not after. For example (| is the blinker):

Old way - text|
New way - |text

Hopefully you get what I mean. If not I can try to explain a bit better.

Problem B:
Since I upgraded, my color substituts that worked perfectly in the old version now don't work properly. Every time I make new subs an save the settings file, it doesn't remember it next time i open the file and just stops working again. Kinda like my subs are being reset.

Hope I gave enough info for you to diagnose my problem Smile Thanks again for making a great client!

Problem A should be easy to fix.

I'm not sure what causes your other problem though. I can't reproduce it.

Keep in mind that only one substitution can trigger at a time, possibly you made a very generic substitution?

About problem A, I had that one a source code version since you did away with read line. I thought you meant for it to do that, so I just made a macro to fix that for me:

Code:
#MACRO {\eOA} {#cursor HISTORY PREV; #cursor end} @ {A}
#MACRO {\eOB} {#cursor HISTORY NEXT; #cursor end} @ {B}

First one is up, second one is down. Works like a charm.

Note: Anyone who is going to use this, make sure to replace your key sequence with the correct up and down codes for your computer.

Thanks for the replies!

About Problem B, sorry I should have explained it better... The MUD output on my mud when you look in a room is like this:

Name the dwarf is resting here. (Yellow Aura) (Sanc) (Invul)

Obviously, some characters might be evil and have a red aura, some might not have invul, or sanc, etc. So I made a color substitute like the following:

Code:
#sub {%1(Red Aura)%2} {<088>%1<018>(Red Aura)<088>%2}
#sub {%1(Red Aura) (Sanc)%2} {<088>%1<018>(Red Aura) <028>(Sanc)<088>%2} {4}
#sub {%1(Red Aura) (Invul)%2} {<088>%1<018>(Red Aura) <068>(Invul)<088>%2} {4}
#sub {%1(Red Aura)%2(Sanc) (Invul)%3} {<088>%1<018>(Red Aura)<088>%2<028>(Sanc) <068>(Invul)<088>%3} {2}
#sub {%1(Red Aura)%2(Invul)%3} {<088>%1<018>(Red Aura)<088>%2<068>(Invul)<088>%3} {3}
#sub {%1(Red Aura)%2(Sanc)%3} {<088>%1<018>(Red Aura)<088>%2<028>(Sanc)<088>%3} {2}

#sub {%1(Yellow Aura)%2} {<088>%1<038>(Yellow Aura)<088>%2}
#sub {%1(Yellow Aura) (Sanc)%2} {<088>%1<038>(Yellow Aura) <028>(Sanc)<088>%2} {4}
#sub {%1(Yellow Aura) (Invul)%2} {<088>%1<038>(Yellow Aura) <068>(Invul)<088>%2} {4}
#sub {%1(Yellow Aura)%2(Sanc) (Invul)%3} {<088>%1<038>(Yellow Aura)<088>%2<028>(Sanc) <068>(Invul)<088>%3} {2}
#sub {%1(Yellow Aura)%2(Invul)%3} {<088>%1<038>(Yellow Aura)<088>%2<068>(Invul)<088>%3} {3}
#sub {%1(Yellow Aura)%2(Sanc)%3} {<088>%1<038>(Yellow Aura)<088>%2<028>(Sanc)<088>%3} {2}

#sub {%1(Sanc)%2} {<088>%1<028>(Sanc)<088>%2}
#sub {%1(Invul)%2} {<088>%1<068>(Invul)<088>%2}
#sub {%1(Sanc) (Invul)%2} {<088>%1<028>(Sanc) <068>(Invul)<088>%2} {4}

This trigger changes Red Aura to actual red text etc. This worked perfectly in one of your older versions of tintin, i think 1.96.5. Ever since I upgraded to 1.96.6, they don't work any more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks Smile

Priorities for subs were broken seemingly causing this issue.

I'll make all highlights and subs trigger for the next release which should make this easier to deal with.
