hi,
i just updated from 1.96.3 to 1.96.6 (debian gnu/linux build); now, when i type Alt-b and Alt-f for previous word and next word respectively, it appears \eb and \ef, as if convert-meta were enabled.

other standard readline shortkeys, like Ctrl-b and Ctrl-f for previous and next char respectively, work fine.

sorry for reporting a bug on a version that's not the latest, please tell me (and forgive me) if it has been fixed on 1.96.7.

thanks

As of 1.96.5 tintin no longer uses readline but my own input handler.

I'll make alt-b and alt-f behalve like ctrl-a and ctrl-e for the next release. Feel free to let me know if you find other oddities. Coffee

Check out the #cursor command, it handles most of the line editing options.

You mean Embarassed ? I still have to play around with gimp for a bit to get the backgrounds right. Totally Sweet
