Hi. I'm playing around with Wintin++ and I had some questions. Since there's no multiwindow thing I want a way to catch tells in lines of the prompt. I know wintin doesn't have multiline support but I was wondering if I could write a script that would capture all lines after "tells you" up to the next prompt line from the mud. Having the split window change depending on the number of tell lines would be good too but not needed (tells are usually not more than 3 lines). So far I have a simple #prompt {%1 tells you, "%0} {%1 : %0} but this only captures the first line. Could I turn on some action that sent every line to the prompt while making a variable go up (the line number) and then unprompt them afterwards? It's late so this is the best I can come up with.

You can try the following:

Code:

#split 5 1

#var capturetells 0

#var window {{bli} {bla} {blo} {blu}}

#nop Would make this a color trigger or re-color it yourself.
#act {%0 tells you, "%1}
{
    #var capturetells 1;
    #list window del 1;
    #list window ins -1 %0 tells you, "%1;
}

#act {~%0}
{
    #if {$capturetells}
    {
        #list window del 1;
        #list window ins -1 %0
    }
}
{9}

#act {Your prompt}
{
    #if {$capturetells}
    {
        #var capturetells 0;

        #delay 0 #showme {\e[1;1H$window[1]\e[0K\n$window[2]\e[0K\n$window[3]\e[0K\n$window[4]\e[0K}
    }
}

This script doesn't work for muds that do not wordwrap text.
