Code:

mapper.c       Added #map legend support to assign custom characters for
the #map flag MUD FONT display mode. By default they're set
to map to the unicode private use area.

mapper.c       By default an UTF-8 #map legend is created for those who do
not use ASCII graphics. The ANSI legend was pretty much
unusable and most terminals are supporting UTF-8 now. Windows
does not support all box drawing characters, hopefully this
will be fixed in the future.

mapper.c       Removed support for the vtgraphics drawing mode which worked
               on very few terminals.

utils.c        Verbosity is automatically enabled for debug mode to avoid
               logging inconsistencies.

port.c         Added #port command, similar to netcat.

chat.c         #chat prefix works now

math.c         Better #math debug through #debug VARIABLE on

mapper.c       Added map exit <dir> dir <number> option.

action.c       Fixed action crash bug that slipped in

telopt.c       Added telnet events for IAC GA and IAC EOR

I also created a private character font for Windows to use with the MUDFONT mapping flag. To use:

Download the following two files.

http://tintin.sf.net/download/EUDC.EUF
http://tintin.sf.net/download/EUDC.TTE

Use 7zip or a comparable utility to copy the files to C:/Windows/Fonts

That should be all that's needed. To enable MUD FONT mapping mode use:

#map flag mudfont

To modify the EUDC files you have to launch the Private Character Editor program. It should be installed by default.

After you make the changes you have finalize them using file -> Font Links -> Link with All Fonts.

The font file is not perfect, so if anyone can improve upon it feel free to do so.

Windows 8.1 tells me that "EUDC.EUF" is not a valid font.

I forced it there anyway using mc, but if I open the fonts folder it is signed as invalid and I can't even preview it. (But the Character Editor program can edit it)

tt++ anyway doesn't show the mudfont map

What am I missing ?

Also, why you mentioned 7zip to copy font files ?

EDIT:

Nevermind, it works, I just had vtmap off

Cool, thanks Smile

I'm starting to hate that custom font thing... at the beginning I had to reinstall it different times at every reboot to make it work, else I was only seeing square characters...

Now it just don't work at all... even the Character Editor seems unable to manage it in the right way...

I'm trying to uninstall it but it doesn't appear in the windows font folder (unless I go there with others means, but then I can only delete the files leaving it virtually still installed... with registry entries and all...)

Is this particular font the only way to use a mudfont map ?
Can't a normal TTF be used instead ?

It was suggested in an online tutorial to use 7zip to copy the files, otherwise Windows is likely to interfere as the font directory is special.

It's working alright for me. You might have to run the private character editor and use Font Links -> link with all fonts

If you can add the special characters to a different font you should be able to update #map legend to access them.

It's hard to get a font to work properly though.
