I have found there is no command history when starting a session with SSH using #run in a normal MUD like Two Towers (t2t). I wanted to use SSH instead of telnet for security reasons. The split screen where the command history normally scrolls back with the arrow keys appears, but the commands such as "look at sign" do not appear in the split area, but rather next to the game prompt, and no pressing of arrow keys produces history of commands.

#run puts you in character mode by default.

You should be able to switch to line mode using: #cursor echo on
