Hi. I'm pretty new to tintin, but I'm running 2.00.7 on an amd64 Gentoo Linux box, to play at lostsouls.org. When I play in split mode (with the #split command), the text on the screen becomes mangled. Typically it is about once per screen-full of text, and usually it looks like the color escape codes were mangled: for example, half a line of text will be replaced by the text "[1;34m". If I go to #unsplit mode, then the problem disappears entirely. This is reproducible in both gnome-terminal and in an xterm.

The program was compiled from source by the Gentoo package manager (Portage). The behavior is the same whether or not I use a tintin start up script, so I will not bother to post mine.

It's most likely caused by packet fragmentation, you could try using:

#config {packet patch} {0.5}

On the mud I play, Discworld, turning off MXP helped. But Discworld (LP - FluffOS) is prone to sloppy packets, nested unclosed color codes and strange MXP behaviour.
