Hi guys,

I have a curious case here that I struggle to debug for few days now.

It seems that whenever I have prompt enabled I'm missing quite a lot of output. Now this may be to do with the MUD I'm playing but it all seems to be very random but repeatable.

Is there any way I can check exactly what the mud is returning in these cases to be able to say what is or isn't triggering the prompt replacement?

It mainly happens when you issue bad command and MUD returns unknown command/helper text

Any helm much appreciated.

yes, I have tweaked the PACKET PATCH

You could try to log the data using:

#event {RECEIVED OUTPUT} {#line log debug.log {%0}}

It's possible the MUD appends text the prompt. If this is the case you can add a $ at the end of the prompt so it needs to be an exact match.

It seems my MUD is returning html entities for prompt, rather than char > I'm getting >

Tried setting ($hp is an arbitrary variable, not from prompt)

#prompt {>} {HP: $hp};

But this isn't working - as in - it does not pickup the prompt and doesn't update variables/display.

Are you logging in HTML mode? Probably best to set it to RAW or PLAIN.

What version are you using?
