I and many others strongly believe tintin needs a more extensible map search interface, so we can find rooms by name, description, notes, etc. I don't think this would be too hard to implement.

Instead of #map list blah (which just searches room names), maybe a new command:

#map search {key} {value}
ie:
#map search {roomnote} {lift block}

I've added support for that already.

Code:

         #map list <name> <exits> <desc> <area> <note> <terrain>
                  Lists all matching rooms and their distance.

                  Use {variable} {<variable>} to save the output to a variable.
                  {roomname} {<name>}, {roomarea} {<area>}, etc, are valid too.

Works for #map find, goto, etc.

Oh, perfect. Thank you!
Now, is there anyway to get room info for a specific vnum?

#map info vnum

seems to only show the current room.
Of course, I can set the map to the new vnum, and then set it back, but just wondering if there was a specific command.

#map at <vnum> #info should work. Smile

Perfect, though slight type, should be:

#map at <vnum> #map info
