Hi,
I had a case where I couldn't connect to my mud (which doesn't support ipv6, as it's an old codebase). I finally figured out it was because tintin was trying the ipv6 address, failing to connect, then not trying the ipv4. It would be nice if, like telnet, failing on ipv6 would automatically fallback to ipv4 if possible.
Thanks,
-Michael.

Have you tried connecting using the numeric IP address?

Another option is commenting out #define HAVE_GETADDRINFO 1 in config.h, execute: rm *.o, then execute: make

Hi,
I may not have been clear enough. The numeric IP address works, but when I connect using the domain name, which has both an IPV4 and IPV6 address, tintin tries the IPV6 address, and then gives up because it couldn't connect (as the mud does not support it). If it sees that IPV6 failed, and it tried IPV4 if available that would be nice.
-Michael.

Give the beta a try and see if it's fixed?
