Has anyone pointed out that Windows Vista file permissions dont allow writting to any Program Files sub directories? Is it possible to to modify the directory permissions with the installer?

Ofcourse its easy to manually fix, but I suggest the default install directory be changed to C:\Users\%username%\Documets\WinTin++\

I am unsure if C:\Winblows\WinTin++\ would work, but that is the solution some programs suggest.

Windows XP users will probably not be thrilled with a change of that order.

Given that Vista isn't a real improvement over XP while using 400 instead of 100 MB of RAM I think a lot of people will end up sticking with XP.

You can enter a different install dir when running the installer so that'd be the easiest solution.

It might also be possible to right click the shortcut and choose 'run as administrator'.

It should also be possible to change the permissions of the wintin++ directory so you can write to it.

The easiest way all around is to change the install directory, *if you are using Vista*, to C:\Users\*name\WinTin++, because there is no chance of muck ups if you create a new directory, or actually want to create a new log file within tintin++.
