Hi Again!!!

Think this is a bug.. not sure.. since I'll be probably be out for a few days I hope I can explain it very clear.

I have the file "travel2", a simple file with these lines (got them from a previous post in this forum):
Code:

#alias viajar {#alias tmp %0;#path load tmp;#ticker {slowwalk} {#path walk} {1}}
#alias parar {#untick slowwalk}
#act {^#END OF PATH.^} {#untick slowwalk;#gagline}
#alias N {viajar {n;n;n}}
#alias S {viajar {s;s;s}}

Now I'll show you this log. What I do is ... read the "travel2" file. Then I use the N and S aliases and everything works fine... Then I set a "highlight" or 2. On first try I get the an input to the mud with the character "|", after I set the next highlight then I get the "-" char (it is not exactly that char.. the char it appears is not in the middle, is in the upper part). And deppending on what alias I use I may even get the "error in verb" error message.

Here is the log:

Code:

g

Dwarf Guard is here.
#read travel2

#OK:   4 ALIASES LOADED.

The messages with "The attempt..." are from the mud complaining because he doesnt understand the input symbols tintin is sending.

Thanks!!

I loaded the script including the highlights, but I don't get any weird commands myself.

Assuming you're running the latest version the problem might lie in a different script?

I was using 1.97.0. Just in case, downloaded 1.97.5. And I'm getting the same thing.. tintin++ is sending some kind of weird chars at the end of the path.

My first thought was also that I had some other setting that was spoiling this one. So I started deleting lines like crazy from my settings. In the end I realized that if I removed all "substitutes" and "highlights" it all worked fine.

In the log I posted (have also tested it just now with 1.97.5) I dont load any other setting. I connect to the mud.. and just read the "travel2" file. No other setting.

So I dont know... worst thing is that you dont get the error.. maybe any other here can try and get the error. I'm using Debian btw. Might be able to test it with a windows computer in a couple of weeks...

Could be a memory corruption, I'll look into the highlight code when I have time. Could you check if the error is specifically with highlights and not with subs?

Tested with Sub and it happens the same.
The sub I used was:
Code:

#sub Sign Senyal

So this might have nothing to do with colors

Will try to #unsub * and #unhi * as I load the path.. then load it all again till it can be solved.
