Just curious, does tintin only support the standard 16 colors (as it is effectively a cli terminal, unless the cli can actually interpret the maximum colorscale, i would guess it does) but i know many of the terminals are able to support the 256 html colors.... thought I would check into it.

I added a little script using the xterm extension to change colors: http://tintin.sourceforge.net/scripts/colorinit.php

Not all terminals support it, but in theory you could change dark black <008> to whatever color you want, print something, change it to something else, etc.

ok, perhaps i should clarify my intentions.... i love making advanced color guage prompts, that use about 10 total colors ranging from bright green for max health down to black for min health, but using only variant colors that flow well of the traditional gred, yellow, red scales.... thus i need more than the traditional limitations of color parsing.

Try this script as an example:
Code:

#config verbose on
#split
#showme {<008>--------------------} {1}
#delay 1 {#showme {\e]P0006600}
#delay 2 {#showme {\e]P0229922}
#delay 3 {#showme {\e]P044BB44}
#delay 4 {#showme {\e]P066DD66}
#delay 5 {#showme {\e]P088FF88}

Whenever you change the \e]P code all instances of <008> are changed however, so this would work if you only use it for your hp and your mud doesn't use 008, most don't.

Since tintin++ isn't doing it's own terminal emulation this is the best that can be done on an xterm terminal.
