When starting tintin:

#OK: 263 ALIASES LOADED.
#OK: 1 CONFIG LOADED.
#OK: 263 ALIASES LOADED.
#OK: 1 ACTION LOADED.
#OK: 4 MACROS LOADED.

In run.tin I have this command:

#read /home/mudder/auto_generated_alias_file

This file just has aliases

1) Why is the ALIASES LOADED part done twice?
2) Which is the relative directory for aliases? (If i do #read
and the absolute path, all is fine, but if i just do
#read auto_generated_alias_file
the file does not get loaded)
3) Is there a way to get tintin to tell the user if something
has not worked, for example if the file could not be found or
similar?

Sorry for the questions Smile

1. The #OK: 263 ALIASES LOADED. part is done twice because you use #read twice. I guess it's slightly confusing in this case, but there's little I can do about it. If you add a second file containing aliasses as well you'll see the last message will display the total amount of aliasses loaded.

2. The working directory is the directory from which you startup tintin. If you want this to be the directory the tt++ file is located at use: cd dir/dir;./tt++ instead of dir/dir/tt++

3. You can use #config verbose on to get more info when reading a file.

Whee thanks for the help!

By the way your guide really helps a lot, have you ever thought of making it
a wiki with i.e. access limited to active forum members?
I'd right away add all stuff I ask, and get answered, into it, to help
ease the work load you have (this would probably also make the guide
better) :)

Interesting idea but wikis aren't really my thing since I'm an alpha class control freak, or maybe just a perfectionist of some sort.

I'm planning to write a FAQ sometime, just that I'm afraid nobody will post anymore in that case and I'll be all alone in the forum Sad

Little joke there, I'm going through a lazy period. I'll try to make some time to work on code and documentation soon =]
